Privacy Policy
EXT — Faceit Intelligence (“EXT”) is a free browser extension for Faceit CS2. This policy describes what data EXT processes, for what purposes, where and for how long it is stored, who receives it and what choices you have. Contact details are provided at the end of this page.
Summary: statistics shown by EXT are calculated in your browser from Faceit data. Our server receives only the data required for community features: comments and tags you choose to submit, an optional sign-in and a periodic signal for the online counter.
What we never collect
- Personal identity. We do not collect your real name, email address or phone number. Sign-in with Faceit is limited to the basic
openidscope, which provides only your player ID and nickname. - Faceit credentials. Your password is entered on
accounts.faceit.com, not in EXT. Faceit session cookies are used by your browser to communicate with Faceit and are never transferred to our server. - Activity on other websites. EXT runs only on
faceit.compages. Pages you open in other tabs are not read, recorded or transmitted. - Messages. EXT does not read team chat or private messages on Faceit. Auto-call only posts the message you have configured.
- Location. EXT does not request your location from the browser, and we do not use your IP address to determine where you are.
- Device contents. EXT has no access to your files, contacts, camera or microphone. Auto-copy only writes the connect command to the clipboard and never reads its contents.
How EXT works in your browser
Faceit data
To display statistics, win probability, player roles, the map radar, encounter history and forecasts, EXT retrieves match and player data from Faceit (faceit.com, api.faceit.com, open.faceit.com) using the Faceit session already active in your browser. This is the same data the Faceit website displays to you. Where a Faceit page has already loaded the required data, EXT uses that response instead of requesting it again. This data is processed in your browser and is not transmitted to our server, except for the player and match identifiers required for community features you choose to use (see “Data stored on our server”).
Automation features
Auto-accept, auto-call, automatic map bans and automatic copying of the connect command run entirely in your browser and only when you enable them. No information about their use is sent to us.
Browser permissions
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
Access to faceit.com | To display EXT panels on Faceit pages and read the data shown on them. |
Access to dmss.mooo.com | To communicate with our server for comments, tags, sign-in, the online counter, configuration updates and release notes. |
storage | To store your settings and temporary cache in your browser. |
tabs, activeTab | To open and close the Faceit sign-in page, apply changed settings to open Faceit tabs, and open Faceit or the donation page when you click the corresponding button. EXT responds only to its own sign-in return address and does not record or transmit the addresses of other tabs. |
Apart from Faceit and our server, the extension loads only small country flag images from a public image service. As with any web request, that service receives your IP address; no other data is sent to it.
Data stored only in your browser
- Settings — enabled features, theme, language, auto-call positions and map blacklist. They are stored using Chrome's storage; if Chrome Sync is enabled, Chrome synchronises them between your devices. We do not receive them.
- Cache — recently loaded player and match data, stored temporarily to speed up page loading.
- Sign-in key — a random key that authenticates your requests to our server. It is deleted when you sign out in the popup.
- Anonymous installation ID — a random identifier not linked to your identity, used by the online counter when you are not signed in.
- Online counter value — the last number displayed in the popup.
All of this data is removed from your browser when you uninstall EXT.
Data stored on our server
Our server supports only the features that involve other users: comments, player tags, the online counter and the EXT user indicator. The full list of stored data is set out below.
Account (optional sign-in)
Sign-in uses Faceit's official authorisation (OAuth with the basic openid scope only). You enter your credentials on accounts.faceit.com, after which Faceit provides our server with your Faceit player ID and nickname. We store these, the dates of your first and most recent use of EXT, and the sign-in key issued to your browser. We do not store Faceit access tokens.
Comments
For each comment we store: the submitted text and the published version, the Faceit ID of the player the comment concerns, the match you played together (used to verify that you took part in it), the time of posting, your Faceit ID and nickname, votes and complaints received, and the moderation status. Comments are visible to all EXT users who view that player.
Player tags
For each tag (for example, “Toxic” or “Clutch”) we store its author, the tagged player, the tag, the match and the time. A tag is displayed only after several players have assigned it independently, and other users see only the total count, never the authors.
Votes and complaints
When you vote on a comment or submit a complaint about it, we store your Faceit ID and your choice so that each user is counted once.
Online counter and EXT user indicator
While a Faceit page is open, EXT sends a short signal approximately every 3 minutes. It contains your Faceit ID if you are signed in, or the anonymous installation ID otherwise, and the extension version. We store the ID together with the time the first and the most recent signal was received. This data is used to display the number of users online and an indicator that shows other EXT users that you also use EXT. The indicator remains visible for 30 days after your last activity.
To display the indicator next to other players, your extension sends the server the Faceit IDs of the players on the current page and receives a list of those who use EXT. The submitted list is used only to produce this response and is not stored.
Compatibility monitoring
Some EXT features depend on the structure of Faceit pages. To detect when a Faceit update affects them, a randomly selected share of installations includes in the online counter signal the names of Faceit page elements the extension could not find, together with the extension version. The server stores only daily totals for each element. To count each installation once per day, it also keeps a record containing your Faceit ID or anonymous installation ID for 2 days. Page content, page addresses and data about players are not transmitted.
Configuration and release notes
The extension also downloads its configuration file and release notes from our server. These requests contain no personal data other than the technical data described in “Technical data and IP addresses”.
Comments, tags and moderation
Every comment is sent for moderation before publication. As a result of moderation, a comment may be published, shortened or rejected. Only the text of the comment is sent for moderation, without your Faceit ID or nickname.
Comments must not contain hate speech, threats, harassment, personal information about any person (such as real names, addresses, contact details or social media profiles), spam or advertising. A rejected comment remains visible only to its author, marked as rejected, until the author deletes it.
Moderation is automated. Its decisions concern only the content displayed in EXT and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects for you. If you believe a decision is incorrect, contact us and it will be reviewed manually.
Any user can submit a complaint about a comment. Such a comment is re-checked under stricter rules and removed if it violates them.
If comments or tags concern you
Comments and tags relate to Faceit players, who may not use EXT themselves. For such players we store only their public Faceit player ID together with the submitted comments and tags. We process this data because honest feedback about in-game conduct is useful to other players; every comment is moderated before publication to protect the person it concerns.
If comments or tags concern you, you may:
- request information about the data stored in connection with your Faceit ID;
- submit a complaint about any comment directly in EXT to have it re-checked under stricter rules;
- request the removal of content that is unlawful, contains personal information, presents false statements as fact or is not related to the game;
- object to the processing; we will assess your request against the interest of other players in honest feedback and inform you of our decision and its reasons.
Tags are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Technical data and IP addresses
Every request to our server includes your IP address, which is required to deliver the response, and the browser type reported by your browser.
IP addresses are used to deliver responses and to protect the service from abuse, such as the mass creation of fake installations. They are not used to identify or locate you and are not shared with third parties. They are stored for a limited period:
- records linking an IP address to anonymous installation IDs — up to 7 days;
- server logs (IP address, time of the request, the requested address, which may include a player or match ID, and browser type) — up to 14 days.
After these periods, IP addresses are deleted.
Who else receives data
We do not sell, rent or exchange personal data and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is disclosed to others only in the following cases:
- Faceit. Your browser communicates with Faceit directly. To verify that you took part in a match before accepting a comment or tag, our server requests the match from Faceit's public data service, sending only the match ID.
- Moderation. The text of a comment, without your ID or nickname, is sent for moderation as described in “Comments, tags and moderation”.
- Hosting providers. Our server is hosted by a provider in Sweden (EU), and this website by a static website hosting provider. They process data only on our behalf.
- Public authorities. Only where required by law and only to the extent required.
- Change of ownership. If EXT is transferred to a new owner, this policy will continue to apply to the data collected under it.
International transfers
Our server is located in the European Union (Sweden). If you use EXT from outside the EU, your data is transferred there. The text of comments sent for moderation may be processed outside the European Economic Area; it contains no identifiers.

Your rights and choices
In EXT
- Edit or delete your comments in the Comments tab of the popup.
- Sign out in the popup to remove the sign-in key from your browser.
- Disable any feature in the settings.
- Uninstall EXT to remove its local data and stop all communication with our server.
On request
Regardless of where you live, you may request:
- access — information about the data we hold in connection with your Faceit ID and a copy of it;
- rectification of inaccurate data;
- erasure of your data — account, comments, votes, tags you submitted and online counter records;
- restriction of, or objection to, processing based on legitimate interest;
- portability — a copy of your data in a machine-readable format;
- withdrawal of consent to sign-in at any time.
Requests are free of charge. We respond within one month, usually sooner. Before providing or deleting data, we will ask you to confirm that the Faceit account is yours, so that no one can obtain or delete another person's data. If you are not satisfied with how your request was handled, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
California and other US states
We do not sell or “share” personal information as defined in the CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. You have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and you will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
Children
EXT is intended for Faceit players and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age of consent). Faceit's own terms determine its minimum age. If we become aware that we hold data of a child under that age, we will delete it.
Security
- All communication between EXT and our server is encrypted using HTTPS.
- Access to the server and database is restricted to the developer; keys and other secrets are stored separately from the code.
- We collect only the data required for EXT's features.
- Sign-in keys are generated randomly and are not related to your Faceit password.
No system is completely secure. If a data breach affects your personal data, we will notify the competent authority and, where required, you, within the time limits set by law.
Cookies and tracking
EXT and this website do not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools. This page stores only your language preference in your browser's local storage. As we do not track users across websites, “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals do not require any action on our part.
Chrome Web Store user data
The use of information by EXT complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide and improve EXT's single purpose — statistics and community features for Faceit — and is never transferred for advertising purposes, credit decisions or to data brokers.
Advertising and partner content
To keep EXT free, the extension may display advertising or partner content, such as a banner showing the partner's name. Such content is displayed without advertising networks, third-party scripts or tracking cookies, is not personalised, and does not involve selling or disclosing your data to advertisers.
Other websites
EXT and this website contain links to other websites, such as Faceit, the Chrome Web Store and our donation page. These websites have their own privacy policies, for which we are not responsible.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy whenever EXT's handling of data changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. If EXT begins to collect a new type of data, this will also be stated in the release notes of the corresponding update. Previous versions are available on request.
Contact
EXT is not a company but an independent project developed and maintained by Jynk0, who is responsible for the processing of data described in this policy. Questions, data requests and complaints regarding this policy can be sent to:
Requests are accepted in English and Russian. This policy is available in both languages; in case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.
